Hey everyone I'm new to this whole thing. I just purchased a Coolsat 7100 and have no idea how to get it to work. I have it hooked up directly to a directv dish and have 87% signal, but no quality. I downloaded a file onto the usb drive and unzipped it, but i still get no channels. I'm not sure if I have all the setup options correct or not. Any suggestions of tips??

go on MENU-INSTALLATION-CHANNEL SEARCh, chose the satelites U want to scan(110 and 119) and pres the search button

A couple of questions....

1)What kind of Dire*ctTV dish is is it? A Phase III, a single lnb model, or what? Yes, it will make a difference in what you can get...

2)Which provider are you trying to get? DN, Bev or DTV? If DTV, forget about it, not gonna happen

3)If DN or Bev, is the dish pointed towards the proper satellites?

4)You say that you put the file on a USB stick, did you actually load the file to the receiver? Not being a smart aleck, some folks don't realize the importance of this step...

5)If the dish is pointed at the proper satellites, can you post up the dish settings that you have? This will help a lot towards getting you going....
