Hi,

I got a 7100PVR since a few days. Followed all the instructions and everything works well so far.

However, the receiver always freezes up over night. Last night I was watching TV, then turned the receiver off with the remote to put it in standby. This morning the display shows 341 and the reciever will not respond to anything, so I had to switch it off/on on the back. Now everything is fine again.
Not sure if 341 is some type of error message or if it is just the time when it frooze.
Same thing happened the night before

Any ideas?

leave your receiver on over night and if it freezes just go up or down 1 channel ... works for me.

ok, yeah. I guess if the receiver is in standy mode it will freeze when the keys roll. If it is on (not standby), "scrambled channel" will pop up and going a channel up and back down will get you going again.
Does everyone have this issue or is it just some people?
Makes it basically impossible to use the PVR function ... it will usually freeze up before or during the recording :-(

Mine does the same thing and i thought that i did something wrong when update the firmware. So there is nothing we can do to stop that. I was not able to use the recording option and this is the reason I bought this box in the first place.

I normally do a soft boot with the power button on the remote and yes the pvr function sucks

Try doing a factory restore and then load factory file 114, then the latest file...set everything back up and see what happens....I did this and have been getting no freezing whatsoever...
