What is the proper way to upload a new BIN to a CS7100? I have been having issues with random freezing and scrambling, with no apparent key change on 8282.

I have read things about resetting to factory default, loading the factory BIN, etc.

What do I need to do?

bin 169 and 170 were glitchy files.
Normal for all the 7000 6100 and 7100 boxes. It's not your machine.
There is a new file right now.. 171
Do a factory reset, load new bin, scan channals relax and enjoy your new toy.

I did download bin 171 to my cs7100 but still getting sramble channel. I even tried with reseting the cs7100 to factory default before scaning channel and still not getting any where. Can someone help. A BIG BEG PLEASE HELP

Yeah, I downloaded that BIN from another site and posted it before I tested it. And, indeed, it doesn't seem to help the issue.

I did the factory default wipe and them loaded it. I also wiped, installed the factory software and upgraded. No dice.

If these updates are glitchy, that's cool, but I just want to make sure that there is nothing wrong with the receiver as I don't know what the warranty is, but I also don't want to take it back and look like a dumazz...

Just posted 172. It claims "Freeze Fix." SO far, after 25 minutes, It's been good.
