View Full Version : Getting Scrambled Channels
hammadh25 06-12-2008, 10:46 PM Hi,
I recently upgraded from CS 5000 to CS7100 PVR. I uploaded the new bin 156 after setting it up and I am getting scrambled channels I tried auto roll on and off and still the same thing. Is the Bin 156 down?
Thanks,
Hammad
Heathen 07-17-2008, 12:31 PM My 7100 does that too with the latest file, usually channel up or channel down then back to the original channel resolves this issue. Another work around is using the 7100 remote to cycle power, off then on, and the channel usually shows up.
hammadh25 07-19-2008, 12:41 PM :D Thanks it worked after whole lot of surfing and. Thank you again.
mihaiist 07-25-2008, 02:49 PM Is the new bin 170 stil working? I have only scrambeld channels.
hammadh25 07-25-2008, 02:59 PM it is working in a way just surf the channels and be on the channel you want to watch it will show scrambled channel but it will come up after a while. Please not it might and might note stay for long so do the steps again.

Try the 170 bin
I am also having issues with freezing/scrambling. It will work for about 5 minutes and then the audio goes all coo-coo caa-caa and the picture drops for a couple of minutes.
This is a new unit, so maybe it's defective. Or, maybe I'm not loading the BIN properly. I also notice that the PVR function doesn't work properly quite a bit. I get "USB storage is dosconnected" frequently.
ne14roxcj 07-28-2008, 10:41 PM It's not broke, it's just a Coolsat. They'll get a new file out for us soon. If you really like your Coolsat, you'll just have to wait. If you're not so attached, sell it and get a Sonicview or Viewsat. I'm about to move the CS7100 to the bedroom and pick up a new SV360 Elite. That'll add to the CW800s and three Neusats (currently in the closet.)
Does anyone else have the same problem, or is it just me, but I can't get the new norw 174 file to work?
