Just finished getting box keys etc from Jkeys and ran jeepers to program atmega 128 18 mgz... hit full monty and received a failed to enter program mode error. Can someone give me an assist on this one, I tried searching but couldn't find anything on this error.

Jeepers version is JeepersDX2.1.0 DP 301.010, buffered JTAG, ATMEGA 128 (black wafer) has a 3 position jumper one side is program the other side is play... I had it on program when I clicked full monty.

I have one idea... the programmer is a female DB25 and so is my parrallel port... so I grabbed a cable DB25 male on both ends... but its like 5-6 feet long....

Ok.. I changed out the cable with a gender changer ...
no fix

I tried the business card jammed in with the wafer...
no fix

The address in jeepers and in system for lpt port are the same.
no fix

I tried a fix I read that said to download enkara and change a compatability setting for the printer/port.
no fix.

The jumper is play or program and has been in program...

The crystal says T18.000 I have tried programming at 18.000mghz and at 18.000mghz dp301

I read something that there was a low voltage problem with the parralel port. I tried to rig up a 3AA (4.5V) aux power source but I didn't have any luck finding a way to bypass the lpt port power and use the aux...

Using a p3 with XP home, was able to communicate with the jtag on the port, no other computer available.

The programmer and card came together... The programmer says W-prog-816-5v. The wafer says original atmega 128-efa, wafer 816, atmega 128, this side down, <-<-prog, play->->, with a black atmel atmega 128 16ac 0228 chip.

I am at a loss and really need some help....

I have the same problem.

My amtel card is the same and i get the same error message when I try to program it.

Let me know what you find out and I will do the same
