Hi everyone..
please help, is there any chance to download a different bin (not a fortec bin) to a fortec mercury 2? when i try to download a bin which isnt from fortec, the downloader gives me an error because it doenst recognise the bin.

is there any fix or any special downloader for this??

:no: Haven't seen anything for this. It is still a good unit for true fta...expand your testing for that, you may like it :)

The last firmware, 7.53, still works with the apropriate keys on GC and RTN(95W) . The major providers are no longer supported. Get a TRUE FTA solution ( motorized 36" dish) and you'll appreciate the receiver more.

Actually, there's a new NTSC Bin that follows the 2008-06-13 PAL Bin... It's Bin v8.01 dated 2008-07-29 (it's misidentified in the link below as "Bin V0800 dated 2008-10-21"):

I tried it, and it includes Autoroll, but it doesn't seam to be functional for either BEV or DN as of 2008-11-23. I even tried manual key updates (menu + 9999 + "emu key update" to "off" + update keys manually), no joy.
Seams like the MercII isn't dead after all. Hope they release updates. Cheers... :beer:
