I am purchasing a satellite finder from ebay, but was wondering if their were any tips on which satellite to locate first the 119 one or the 110? I would appreciate any advice moving Thursday...Thanks so much.

I would invest in a map compass for about 10 bucks to get your Azimuth set up and you can preset your dish with your elevation and skew. Whether or not you set it to 110 or 119 first doesn't matter. When you set one the other is fairly close to where you need to be. Play with the azimuth slightly to see what signal improvement you get and then you can loosen your bolts on your skew and elevation seperately to see if you can get a happy medium. You can also set to Dish500 and get both signals at once though it shows a lower strength. Mine was 123 on 119 and 109 on 110 then dropped to around 100 on Dish 500 setting. |
