I purchase a dm500s from ebay and I got it. I plugged the box in and got no service which I knew would happen. I press the menu button on the remote and nothing happened. So I flashed the box with sb4u img file that he sent me and now I get select a language on the tv and I press the okay button, but nothing happens. he said the remote was working before he removed the batteries and package it up and sent it to me. Is it possible the remote lost the code to trasmit to the receiver? I'm looking for any help

I first have to ask if the batteries are in right & are known to be good?
Not calling you anything, but the simplest things are sometimes over looked.

I don't think factory remote can loose code.

I did put in new batteries and they are in correct. I have the sliver remote. Can I program a universal remote to work with the box?
