My sister purchased a Nuesat 6000Premium and we were having difficulty getting channels. She was only getting around 5 or 6 so we found hte newest fix to download. I have the correct loader and tried using the USB stick, but for some reason I couldn't get it to load onto it. So I loaded straight into the receiver. When the upgrade was complete, we hooked it back up to the t.v. and now it can't go past the Menu page. No matter how many times you hit exit, it stays on that page. You can use the Menu, such as going into the installation, system settings, etc. However, I have a Viewsat and am not familiar with the Nuesat and have no idea what to do. Someone told me to do a factory default, but I have no idea what to do or if it will have to be reset. In this case, I really have no idea what I'm doing. If anyone could be of any assistant, it would be greatly appreciated. If you could make the instructions very plain and simple, that would be even greatly more appreciated. Thanks so much, Bernie22

disconect from tv and dish. use null cable to hook to receiver. load factory prem. bin. do at atlest 2 times , then load 6031 bin. should be ok.:wacko:

Hi, Go to menu and click on system settings, enter password, hit up button 1 time, See If you get Hot Key. If not you might be just getting fta channels. In other words no flash. In this case you should just use usb and load 6031. Make sure its unzipped before putting on usb.

How To setup receiver
1 .You need to go into installation menu first set up your satellite that you are pointing at .
2 Next if you have a multi lnbs on your dish setup and using a multiswitch you need to set them up . Scroll down to the switch you are using it could be a DISEqC switch select the port (Mini A OR B) Or (LNB 1-4 ) if using a Dish Switch select ports (SW21-1 SW21-2 SW42-1 SW42-2 SW44 SW64-1A SW64-1B SW64-2A SW64-2B SW64-3A SW64-3B TWIN-1 TWIN-2 QUAD-2 )that the satellite is on .If you are using zinwell switch or simular that is using a 22khz tone switching make sure you turn this on in your setting as well for the satellite that is using the 22khz tone port if not you will only be scanning the same sat over again.
3 last make sure lnb Power is on
4 Once you see a yellow antenna position bar you are making communication to the sat .
5 Now press the ok button on your remote to highlight the satellite you want to scan(it could be echostar7 and etc.) you can highlight as many satellites you want to scan at once . Next press the blue button on your remotecontrol to start scan the highlighted sats .
6 Wait a moment and it take some time but tv should work.
7 If not double check your settings,switches, cables and connections.
