Yes you can save your channel list, I have done this on my CW600 using the cable method.
Use your the standard CW800S Loader and your PC.
Place your unit is standby mode (--:--) (with sat cable disconnected)
Select the "UPLOAD DATA" button as well as your standard Com port of your PC.
Start
This Upload will then place a file in the same directory that your Standard CW800S Loader application is located in.

I use this method, since I have personally deleted many useless Info Channels and many foreign language channels that I do not use ever.

To Recover this file back into your receiver after a factory Restore, you then use the “Download Data” button to place this list back into your receiver.
Good luck.

This feature is freaken awsome. So I can save my personal channel list to my USB stick and then load it again after a new bin?

I have not tried it using the USB Key method, only the cable method and I know it works..
This is simpler that deleting all those channels that you do not wish to have available for younger kids etc... every time you do a factory Reset.
BTW..I try NEVER do a factory reset unless I REALLY need to

So you don't have to do a FR on the Captive Works huh? Cause I own a CoolSat 6000 and I was told to do a Factory Reset EVERY time I load a new bin. It goes like this: FR, load factory bin, FR, load new bin, FR, scan sats and delete all the channels i don't want..... whew.... pain in the rear.

That is correct I do not do a factory Reset unless my unit is totally F....Up and then I will do it.
I'm set up with one 18" and and Oval with 3 lnbs and again I do not do a FR between bins (fixes)

Interesting, I had problems in the past with fake bins, STB not responding to front buttons and other things but I never had to do a FR, as a matter of fact I don't know how to do one. But since it is mentioned and just in case 'cause you never know, how do you do a FR? Sorry if I'm stealing this thread.
