does any body know where to get a up todate channels list? 4 the 500s

Use channel Master progy.
Download any channels list from Pansat or Viewsat or your favorite box,
in this example will use pansat.
In channel Master, click file-> import -> pansat/fortec.

make your adjustmenys and tweaks.
Click file -> export -> dreambox -> and click save.

Now you have your own channel list for dreambox.
tweak as you want with local channels, channel names, numbers...etc.

I would like to upload my channel list and favorites from my VS Ultra to my DB600.

I have connected to the Ultra and saved the lists to my laptop.

I now need to convert the file to the dreambox format. When I go to the export wizard, I choose export format and then I get a message saying that "some channels do not have TID or NID defined. You can choose to continue but you will not see the EPG. I suggest to apply a template to fix those values. Do you want to continue anyway?"

What should I do from here? I am lost.

You can click continue but tou will not receive EPG for those channels.
you can try to scan the sat using eithre PLI or DSM images, the tweak your services file using DCC or DreamEdit.
