I am trying to do some comparison between the Viewsat Pro & the CaptiveWorks CW-800S. It appears the specs for the Viewsat are everywhere but I am having no luck finding info on the CW-800S. Nobody seems to know the Processor speed or memory. If anyone could enlighten me to the specs or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

The specs are the same as the premium i believe. I have had both, the OSD on both are just the same..course the 800 has the USB for upgrade and PVR functions.

If your talking about the CW-600S Premium, Its specs are:

Main Processor Cx24142, Speed 160MHz
Flash Memory 4MB
SDRAM 32MB

If anyone can confirm the two units share the same specs it would be appreciated.

Yes i am talking about the premium. The 800 is very fussy on what hard drive it likes. and it also have a way to go as a PVR.

To be honest.. unless you really have your heart set on a 800..I would go with CNX Duo..best machine there is right now with great support.

Ok, I liked the CW800S but I dont want a pain in the butt. The CNX DUO looks a lot like the Viewsat Pro, right on down to the price tag. I guess it all comes down to more searching around.

Yes do a good search..CNX picture is the best there is though.
